DATA

StartFragment

Emily brings to us a unique multicultural and social justice background shaped by her upbringing in Venezuela as well as her studies and work in international development. During her undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa, Emily interned in Canada with the former Canadian International Development Agency (now Global Affairs Canada); and abroad with the Centre for International Studies and Cooperation. Upon graduating, Emily worked for the Aga Khan Foundation Canada where she provided instrumental support in planning and implementing the Foundations two signature fundraising events that took place in ten Canadian cities. Emily moved to Vancouver in the fall of 2016 to pursue a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning at the University of British Columbia. She is interested in exploring innovative governance and economic practices that promote inclusion and equity, and overall, enhance livelihoods for the most vulnerable. Emily is thrilled at the opportunity of joining WTC and she looks forward to working with and learning from the organization and its stakeholders.
