Transforming

where we live so that everyone can belong, participate and thrive.
Women Transforming Cities (WTC) is a grassroots non-profit organization based in Vancouver, Canada working to dismantle intersecting systems of oppression with equity-deserving genders and movements. We do this by building the participation and power of people historically excluded from civic processes and decision-making to radically shift power to women and under-represented communities through a feminist, intersectional lens.

Resources: Understanding Local Government

Local governments make decisions every day that impact who our cities work for. These choices affect housing options, locations of childcare centres, or even which of our city streets have bike lanes.

If you’ve ever wanted to understand how local governments work, and your opportunities to participate - WTC has launched resources to help!
