Member at Large – Zaena Campbell
Zaena is active in the arts and cultural community. She currently serves as Vice President of the Board for Juno nominated choral ensemble, Musica Intima, and runs The Dancer Transition Resource Centre (BC Office) supporting career transition and the socioeconomic conditions of artists. Zaena has helped to voice key issues on committees, task forces and focus groups with Actsafe and the Alliance for Arts. She has been invited to participate in cultural policy discussions as a panelist and dialogue leader at annual Arts Summits.
Working closely with the SFU Institute for the Humanities throughout her studies, Zaena pursued self-directed research in Canadian International Development Policy, chaired student union, co-founded a first annual peace education conference and honed her skill set further through federal government practicums. She has also volunteered and participated in conferences with the United Nations, World Peace Forum, Red Cross, Amnesty International, Gandhi Jayanti/Thakore Foundation and Dalai Lama Dialogues. Most recently, she’s been exploring challenges faced by new parents in the arts and is excited to come full circle in service to the WTC community.
