City of Vancouver - Gender Equality Strategy

The City is updating its 2005 Gender Equality Strategy. The goal of the Strategy was to take action on discrimination faced by women and to implement measures to improve gender equity. They are seeking input from the public as well as from a variety of organizations and experts as they develop the new Strategy. They have launched an on line public survey and are hosting a public forum on April 19, 2017, at the Creekside Community Centre from 4-8pm. For more information visit us here.

The work of WTC in Vancouver takes place on the stolen ancestral territories of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™yÌ“É™m (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish Nation), and sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation). We acknowledge the leadership of Indigenous peoples since time immemorial and seek to learn and unlearn our own colonial practices as we work in cities as sites of resistance.
