Our Annual General Meeting will be held November 18th

Our AGM with guest speakers Barinder Rasode and Sara Oritz Escalante will be held from 3pm - 5pm on November 18th at the Britannia Rink Activity Room, 1661 Napier Street, Vancouver.

You walk into the rink building and it is on your left. There is lots of space and all are welcome to attend. Our guest speaker, former Surrey City Councillor Barinder Rasode, will talk about being a city councillor, running for mayor and how we make cities work for women and girls. And Sara Oritz Escalante, from Collectiu Punt 6 (a Spanish feminist organization of urban planners and architects that directly engages women in urban planning though feminist participatory methods), will be at the AGM and will speak as well.

We will be electing 2017-18 Board members and we will be voting on the new constitution and bylaws which are a requirement of the new BC Societies Act.

You must be a member in good standing in order to vote. Go to our website to renew your annual membership or become a member. Minimum donation for membership is $10.

The work of WTC in Vancouver takes place on the stolen ancestral territories of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™yÌ“É™m (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish Nation), and sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation). We acknowledge the leadership of Indigenous peoples since time immemorial and seek to learn and unlearn our own colonial practices as we work in cities as sites of resistance.
