Claire Adams

She/Her

Claire Adams has more than ten years professional experience spanning urban planning, policy analysis, research, community engagement and communications. She is passionate about using planning interventions and policy change to make our cities and communities more accessible, equitable, healthy, and fun. She holds a Master’s in Urban Studies from Simon Fraser University and an undergraduate Arts degree from the University of Glasgow. She is an intersectional feminist who believes in the power of collective action to abolish systems of oppression. Some of the issues she gets really fired up about are housing as a human right, universal childcare, healthcare access, and active transportation. Claire immigrated from Scotland to Vancouver in 2017 and is so grateful to be able to raise her family on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
