Community Spaces

Will you commit to supporting free and low-cost gathering spaces, with priority investment in underserved areas, including:

• Extending library hours and supporting the workers who maintain these spaces with adequate staffing and a living wage.

• Increasing access to city-owned spaces by transparently reporting the number of underutilized properties and offering priority access and subsidized rent for community groups that facilitate social connection and address neighbourhood needs.

• Working with independent arts and culture venues and queer spaces to reform permitting and bylaw barriers so they can sustainably run safe spaces
