Diana Kamau
She/Her
WTC Staff Member 2021-2024
Diana made transformative contributions to WTC as an advocate, staff member, facilitator, and collaborator during a time of accelerated organizational growth. Her expertise and critical thinking greatly shaped the direction of our work. She designed and led a six-week cohort series called Cities Organize that trained participants to become community organizers. This cohort created the foundation for our workshop series, which Diana then continued to deliver to community partners across the Lower Mainland. Through these workshops, Diana reached diverse communities across Turtle Island to increase their civic literacy, advocacy skills, and confidence to engage on issues that impact them. Her thoughtfulness, commitment to decolonization, deeply intersectional lens, and facilitation of our theory of change will impact our work for years to come.
