Impact

Elisa has been involved with WTC during a time of significant change and transformation, serving on the board from 2019 - 2023. Elisa supported the implementation of the Capacity Building Grant that helped WTC hire their first staff person, and has stewarded the organization through many changes. Elisa's expertise in organizational change and leadership has had an immeasurable impact on WTC. Her commitment to the organization has been unparalleled - as the chair of the Capacity Building Committee, Chair of the People Committee, as a fundraiser, and overall board director. Her kindness, generosity and empathy are so appreciated by all who are lucky enough to get to work with her. Elisa, your impact on WTC has been so profound.

Bio

Elisa is a proven organizational development professional and Certified Change Management Professional™ certifcant. Elisa excels at helping individuals, teams, and organizations build leadership capacity and change resilience as they move through the messy realities of constant change. 

Elisa has held increasingly responsible learning and organizational development positions in post-secondary education, journalism, and health insurance. She now devotes her time to public sector healthcare as the Leadership Development Lead for Providence Health Care - a position she has mixed feelings about retiring from in 2024.  She hopes to continue to be of service in retirement to social justice organizations as the Principal of Cambiar Leadership Effectiveness (look her up at cambiarleadership@yahoo.ca).

Elisa holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, a Masters in Organizational Management and certificates in Human Systems Dynamics, Training Specialist and William Bridges Change and Transition Management. Her doctoral research focused on managing organizational change culminating in her dissertation "The Change Equation: A Correlation Study of Status Quo Bias in Managers".​

Loving the vibrancy of downtown living, Elisa and her family live in the heart of Squamish where, in addition to continuing to support Women Transforming Cities with her heart, soul, time and $$ (and so should you ), she also volunteers for the Squamish Hospice Society and Squamish Food Hub, all of which are soul enriching endeavors.
