Emily Morales
She/Her
Bio
Emily Morales is a Venezuelan-Canadian citizen, currently living in the United States. She was involved with WTC between 2017-2019, while she completed her graduate studies in Community and Regional Planning at UBC. Emily joined WTC after working in printing, international development, event planning, and community outreach. WTC gave Emily an opportunity to practice her knack for connecting people with opportunities, resources, and ideas. During her time at WTC, Emily collaborated with and learned much from a wonderful sisterhood. Emily’s contributions to WTC involved planning and executing panels, cafes, workshops, AGMs, and, more importantly, the preparation of the $250K grant(ed) proposal for the Status of Woman Canada. Today, Emily lives in Colorado where she works as a community planner. Upon ending a 3+ years tenure at a consultancy firm doing long range planning in the US Mountain West, she took a leap of faith to start her own consultancy firm, Emoza Community Planning. In her new role, Emily works to support projects that champion Community Health, Environmental Justice, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within and beyond Colorado. Emily is honored to be nominated as a WTC transformer and is eager to continue learning from and being inspired by the work of WTC.
