Feminist City

November 2019

Ellen Woodsworth, Co-Chair of WTC moderated a panel discussion and book launch of "Feminist City: How to Build a More Just and Sustainable Vancouver".

Esteemed community leaders include Mebrat Beyene (Executive Director, WISH Drop-In Centre Society), Chepximiya Siyam’ Chief Janice George (Squamish Nation), Cicely Belle Blain (CEO, Cicely Blain Consulting), Genesa Greening (President and CEO, BC Women’s Health Foundation), and Leslie Kern (Women's Studies Professor)

Together, they led a fiery exploration on how women and marginalized persons of all backgrounds can push back against systemic barriers designed to keep minorities "in their place," and re-imagine a more sustainable, just Vancouver that supports all of us.
