WTC attends a rally in strong support of our 2SLGBTQIA++ community and SOGI in schools

September 2023

Our Co-Chair, Dr. Joy Masuhara, and WTC founder, Ellen Woodsworth, both addressed the crowd gathered at the Vancouver Art Gallery in support of our trans and queer community. They reaffirmed that gender affirming care saves lives and the SOGI in schools saves lives. WTC expressed our unwavering support for our 2SLGBTQIA++ community in standing up against hate. Our foundation has always been rooted in our principles as 2SLGBTQIA++ positive, SOGI affirmative, along with a deep understanding that trans women are women. ALL of us must work together so that queer, trans, and non-binary youth can feel safe and welcomed in school.
