WTC celebrates the introduction of legislation to address systemic racism in BC

April 2024

Last month we were at the legislature to celebrate the introduction of legislation that aims to address systemic racism in BC. The new legislation will hold public bodies accountable for gaps and barriers identified through the Anti-Racism Data Act. WTC was one of many community organizations that facilitated consultations to guide this new legislation. Thank you to our members who shared their experiences and valuable insight to shape this legislation and thank you to Nikki Sharma, Mable Elmore, and Rachna Singh for driving this forward.
