WTC wraps up a 3-part workshop series with South Vancouver Neighbourhood House

We recently wrapped up a 3-part workshop series on civic engagement with our friends at the Reframing South Vancouver and Marpole Initiative, led by the incredible team at South Vancouver Neighbourhood House.

Over the course of the past few months, we helped South Vancouver and Marpole neighbours explore:

  • The power of telling our stories at city hall, such as how to express the various ways that the Reframing South Vancouver Initiative connected their neighbourhood to the resources they needed

  • How to use a structured campaign to build collective power, using both WTC’s and the Reframing South Vancouver Initiative’s own campaign examples

  • How to advocate at City Hall at every stage of the decision-making process.

Our collaboration with this initiative has spanned over 4 years, and we have been truly inspired to witness the ways the community has come together to fight for what they need time and time again. Thank you to the folks at South Vancouver Neighbourhood House and Marpole Neighbourhood House for all that you’ve done for the South Vancouver and Marpole community and for inviting us to be a small part of it over the years.
