Jackson is fascinated by cities and who they are and aren't built for. They are passionate about public spaces, and how we design them with different facets of the “public” in mind. They care about accessibility justice, our planet, food security, and child care. They are passionate about land use, housing, and transportation, and how they intersect with climate, public health, and equity. Jackson believes that to make positive changes we need people working together inside - and outside - of all levels of government.

Jackson's day job (and sometimes night job) is as a youth support worker in a transitional housing program where they help young people to develop life skills and navigate the challenges of growing into adulthood. As former co-chair of the City of Vancouver's 2SLGBTQ+ Advisory Committee, Jackson served as a link between the queer community and city council and staff to amplify voices historically left out of civic conversations.

Making cities make sense for women is good for everyone - seniors, young families, people with disabilities, gender diverse folks, and our unhoused neighbours. Jackson looks forward to bringing their perspective to the WTC team, and is excited to learn, share, grow, and find joy along the way.
